Born on Gadigal Land (Eora/Sydney), and based in Naarm/Melbourne, Tinieka Page is an artist working primarily in painting and drawing, with a practice grounded in material process and formal instability. Her work explores how the materiality of painting can respond to uncertainty.

 

Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts (First Class Honours) from RMIT University, she has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in both international and domestic contexts.

 

In 2024, Page was awarded the Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grant, supporting a two-month residency at PADA, Portugal. Most recently, she has been awarded a three-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris by the Art Gallery of NSW through their 2026 residency program.

With an understanding of our current contemporary moment as a time which is characterised by a state of uncertainty, her practice looks to the process of painting without predetermined outcomes as a way of establishing an inquiry into methods of responsiveness to ongoing change.
